Roxy Fashion Show

Wow, time passes fast without you noticing and the next thing I know, I catwalked for Roxy for the first time in my entire life on the 22 April in Mid Valley Megamall in conjunction to Mid Valley Megamall's Fashion Week. The pictures are taken by Emily, my little sister and some are from the Roxy Malaysia Facebook page.

I was so nervous because this is different from the event thing that I did in Sungei Wang last time! It was so nerve wracking backstage because we can hear the crowd outside cheering for each one of us when we step out and one of the Roxy stylist kept telling us to relax your shoulders and have fun. When it was my turn, I was so nervous that I forgotten to stop and pose in the middle before walking front. The only thing that was on my head was "THINK YOU ARE MIRANDA KERR WALKING FOR VICTORIA'S SECRET AND ANY MODEL WHO WALKED FOR TOKYO GIRLS FASHION SHOW" . I hope it worked!

We have to walk out again for the Q & A session and Liang, the rapper and radio DJ of Capital FM was the host and he asked us questions randomly and we only had 30 seconds to answer it.

It was my turn for the Q&A and luckily he asked me an easy question which was, What makes you a Roxy Girl?

I told him (this is what I think I said because it was so long ago so I think I forgot a few parts), it's because I am a carefree spirit and I am willing to try new things and adventures like I am willing to bunjee jump from a tall building.

With Catherine after the fashion show.

With Cheryll, she's been walking for a few of the runway shows in Mid Valley before the Roxy one.

Nabila, Yasyka and I after the show.

Me with the very cute Sher Lynn.

Vian and I.

The Roxy stylists gave us 20 cards each to give out to our fans after the show so we went to the Roxy backdrop which was beside the runway to take some pictures and meet our families, friends and fans.

The very gorgeous Lyna and I.

My high school bestie, Ivan who sacrificed his study time to come and support me! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Janaliese, me, Cherry and Isabelle.

Group shot with all of the girls! Ashley and Syafinaz received a bouquet of flowers from their friends which was really sweet. I am happy for them!

My little sister

Taking pictures with one of my fans.

We all changed into our Roxy tees after the show and I can't miss a picture with Suraya because she's been with us since the beginning and she studied in Taylor's too! Such a small world.

Emily's 21st

MY BESTIE FROM HIGH SCHOOL HAS TURNED 21 LAST FRIDAY! We had a small celebration at The Hills, Damansara Heights with her- Emily, Amanda and I wished Samantha was there to join us! It was my first time there so I was really surprised that it's sort of on a hill hahaha! The place has a really cozy atmosphere and the waiters are really friendly too. I think we went a bit overboard with the food cause there was so many to try and we assumed that our stomach can fit a lot of it inside because we were starving.

We ordered this Watermelon heart-shaped drink which happens to be their bestseller and I can see why! It's cute and it tasted good too because the alcohol taste was not really strong which is why I like it. We can even scrape the sides of the watermelon and eat it. I wonder how many watermelons was served everyday for a month and what do they do with the extra flesh that was scraped out to form the heart shape?

Emily ordered the Green Monster burger which is also one of their best sellers. The minute I tasted the green sauce, I was like O_O. I didn't like it cause it has mint in it but the salad and wedges were good. I like mint when it's in candy form not in its original form. XD

Emily the Birthday Girl looking like she's going to stab someone with the fork and with an umbrella on her hair. Hahaha!

This was mine which is the Wasabi Chicken. I love this! The wasabi was not spicy at all but you can still feel a little of the heat, the salad was good too, the dressing was different than the salad which came with the Green Monster and the wedges is good as ever!

Emily had cravings for nachos so we ordered this and it was really good too with cheese on top of slices of jalapeno with tomatoes and dip it into the chili, it was so GOOD!!! Too bad we couldn't finish this so we got it packed.

Amanda ordered some soft shell crab sushi which was really big and it tasted really nice too but too bad we couldn't finish it so it was packed too.

3 petite girls and a table filled with big portions of food.

After dinner we brought out the hidden Wondermilk cupcakes and the waiter was like hiding behind Emily trying to light one of the candles that blew out before even reaching her, he failed but we managed to surprise her with the cupcakes! Amanda and I were worried because she already received Wondermilk cupcakes a day before from her company, thankfully she likes our better cause it's smaller and it's cuter.

We gave one to the waiter cause he was really nice to us!

We brought her the present during dinner and her face was like O_O. We told her to guess and she guessed it was a Nerf gun so we just went with it! Hahaha! After we sang Happy Birthday then only we let her open the present and when she did, she screamed for joy cause it was a light saber which I knew she always wanted one cause she has a thing for Star Wars. We told her to press the button then the light saber lighted up with red light then she screamed again cause it was red like Darth Vader's light saber. We got a lot of stares from the other tables cause of the epicness of her receiving a light saber instead of girly gifts such as make-up and clothes.

We received this special birthday drink from the bartender and it tasted better than the watermelon drink! We asked what's the drink called and he told us that it's not in the menu and he came up with it on the spot which was pretty cool!

Me and her light saber which she let me play with it for a while! Now I feel like getting one for myself.

Emily made this collage and look at that girl and her lightsaber! Haha,I am glad we bought her something different for her 21st birthday instead of the usual stuff!

The next post will about the Roxy Fashion Show! I have to do a lot of catching up because I was in Ipoh for 4 days and 3 nights and the voting for he Roxy Girl competition has started so just click on the link below and vote for me, maybe drop a comment or two too if you like! :-)

First casting

I went for my first commercial casting last Thursday with my aunt, Charmaine and Eliza. It was super last minute because my aunt needed me to find any of my friends who are Pan-Asian or looks Pan-Asian to go for the casting for a Baskin Robbins commercial. When she told me that she's looking for Pan-Asian looking girls, I was like "What on earth is Pan-Asian and what's the difference?" so I went to Google it like any other smart person would do and it turns out Pan-Asian means you are either half-white or Eurasian mixed.

It obvious that they only want Pan-Asian people for commercials! Look at all the commercials on TV! Most of the people on it are like mixed with something. I suggested to her to just look for models cause most Pan-Asians turned out to be models but she said her client is just looking for 4 more extras and extras get paid about RM400. So I was digging through my facebook friends list and she was also looking at it and she found about 6 of my friends which she thinks stands out from the rest, too bad only half of them can make it to the casting.

I tried out too cause its no harm trying since now I know how the process goes and they already have my video of my expressions. Hopefully my expressions are convincing enough cause it was a bit awkward doing it alone in the room with just the person with the camera and with lights shining down on you.

The expression that I had to do was happy, sad, confused, thinking, angry and surprise. Hope it was alright cause I didn't practice it in front of the mirror before. Then lady told me to spin 1 round and she gave me a cup of ice-cream after that. I have to smile and eat the ice-cream and make the ice-cream looks like it's the most awesomest thing in the world (It is one of the awesomest in my opinion!) first at the left 45 degree angle then at the right.

As we were signing the forms, my friends and I were like "Ours will be the emptiest forms ever." because none of us had experience before but I am glad that now we're one step away to being exposed to this type of things. My aunt said, this will be a good exposure to us because they can use our casting vidoes for other commercials if we could not get the Baskin Robbins commercial. So maybe someday you might see me on TV! XD

Now, I should go get ready for a nice birthday dinner with my girls later! Toodles~

Day 2 as one of the Top 20 Roxy Girl finalist

We had flow riding lessons on the 17th in Sunway Lagoon! We were suppose to have surfing lessons too but the wave pool was being maintained so we only tried the Flow Rider. It was my first time trying it so I was really nervous! Plus, it was going to be my first time wearing a bikini, let alone a Roxy bikini. I have fallen in love with Roxy's bikinis! They are so cute and even the rashguards are so cute! XD

I have insecurities for wearing a bikini because I am a little flat-chested and I don't have the Va va voom body like Miranda Kerr too but after putting on this Roxy bikini, I actually felt really comfortable! It's like the cuteness of the bikini took away my insecurities and boosted my self-esteem. Now I think I want to get a few bikinis from Roxy because they are all so cute! Plus I saw the latest collection with the cute monokini too and some rainbow coloured ones, omg must resist temptations cause I am broke this month.

Most of the pictures are taken by Roxy Malaysia.

We were being briefed by Catherine about the safety procedures.

Then, the professionals told us to do some stretches before this so that we don't risk any serious injuries. Try to spot me there!XD

I actually only attempted this the last minute because before that I tried to wear a tampon for the first time since my time of the month was still there but it was finishing so it was hard. I gave up after a few attempts then I was sitting and watching the other girls have the time of their lives and I was feeling sorry for myself cause I don't know how to put on a tampon. Some of the girls were really nice and tried teaching me and telling me that I shouldn't let this stop me from trying the Flow Rider. Then, in my head I thought to myself "I can't miss this! What if this never happens again?" cause this things never happen all the time so I just changed and just went for it!

I was freaking out when I was standing at the water but the lifeguard taught me the steps and I just jumped! It's like a mini leap of faith. Hahaha!

Failed a few times, water entered my ears and eyes too.

But I got it in the end and that made me so happy!:-)

Group shot with the other girls who came! :-) . Everyone seems happier in their Roxy swimwear.

Suraya brought hulahoops so we got excited and started playing with it! I managed to last the longest! XD

Yasyka, Syafinaz, Elyna, Fitrah, Nabila, Natasha, Veeian, Cherry and I.

Found a picture of me in the catwalk class the other day.
Wah, I look so fierce here, literally. Haha! I should smile more often.

A gentle reminder about the Roxy Catwalk event this Sunday! Come to show your support to me and maybe I can even take some pictures with you after the event to thank you all for coming if there is time! :-D

SUM 41 CONCERT 2012!

I must blog about this before I forget because this concert was one of the best concert experiences that I have ever been to!!! I lost hope when I found out it was too late to get the early birds tickets hence, it was pretty expensive and Emily and I were running out of time to even get the tickets before Saturday which was the 14th of April. Suddenly, I saw that my phone had 3 missed calls from Emily so I immediately called her back cause I assumed she had something urgent to tell me but it turned that her sister managed to get us FREE VIP TICKETS TO SUM 41!!! My heart stopped beating for a few seconds then I started getting excited and start imagining the wonderful things that could happen during the concert. XD

I never ever been to any VIP section in concerts, let alone for free! So I am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL to Emily's sister and her boyfriend for being so kind to us and giving us their tickets! I nearly cried for joy! Another good thing is that food and beverages were provided for the people who has the VIP tickets! FOOD!!! XD

I was already in KLCC around the afternoon because I went to redeem my prize from Tongue In Chic which was a complimentary makeover from Burberry and a special prize! I think I have fallen in love with their products! The products didn't trigger any sensitivity issues to my skin which was awesome! The guy who did the makeup for me was really nice and informative and the products he used to put on my face so thank you so much to whoever you are, I wish I have gotten your name.

Can't really see the make-up here but I can tell you that he gave me a natural smokey eye look using brown tones instead of black because he asked me if I would like a natural look or smokey look. I told him I was going to a rock concert but I want something not too over the top so he managed to achieve that for me. :-) Really love the lipstick which was called Tea Rose, a very common name for lipsticks cause NYX has a lipstick with the same name, I wonder if the colors are the same? Maybe I can do a comparison someday.

These are the special prizes. Which are samples from their new summer collection. Me like! XD
He applied this makeup base on my face and I can honestly say this is a really good product because it actually gives you a dewy look and it can also be used for highlighting!

This is the foundation he used on me which matched my skin tone perfectly .

Have not tried out the lip shades yet and the other two are darker toned foundations which they suggested to me to use as a contour.

After getting my makeover, I went to check out the new japanese magazines in Kinokuniya and went to have tea with my family at Starbucks. There was this lady and her daughter in front of me and they were taking their sweet time asking stupid questions about the tumbler when there was already a long queue behind me! Some people are just so inconsiderate. Anyway, after that I went to Pavillion using the newly built bridge which connects from there to KLCC. It was air conditioned and shaded so it was nice but its quite a walk too and a bit confusing cause the signs are not specific enough but I made it there and met Emily there too. Then, we walked to KL Live while using Emily's recently bought RM10 umbrella cause she said it was too cute to not buy it. LOL

So when we arrived there, there was already a big crowd waiting in line and we couldn't wait in line because we have to wait for Emily's sister's friend to pass us the tickets. Jason, Emily's sister's friends came and he was really nice and funny but Emily and I were were beforehand to not stare at him because his girlfriend will kill us but the thing is how can we talk to a person and not look at that person? -_-lll

Well, we actually felt like a VIP because we got the privilege to enter the venue without queuing and since we were early, we picked the best spot which let's us have the best view of the stage!

The spaghetti was so horrible, it was cold and hard and as much as I hate to waste food, I couldn't finish this but the other finger foods were nice, like the brownies! Too bad I forgotten to take pictures of those.

Bunkface! The lead singer's hair is so ugly omg please change your hair style but I have to admit that he looks better now than before! He gained some weight and muscles so VERY NICE!!!

Emily and Sabrina who does not own a Facebook account, haha but she's so nice  and  she also got free tickets from Jason. Yes, they serve booze during the concert which is kinda unexpected! I thought Malaysia would have banned booze in concerts, haha! It was nice to enjoy some Guinness during the concert.

OBS also known as One Buck Shot, we were trying to guess who OBS is cause  they wrote that in the brochure instead of the full name so we had like a big 'OH!!!' moment there.

Waiting for Sum 41.

Still waiting after more than 30 minutes.

AHHHH!!!!SUM 41!!!!!XD

My love for Sum 41 has grew stronger because they are so friendly to their fans and Derek was so funny on stage because he kept doing those funny poses and he even brought a few fans on stage! Someone even threw a mineral bottle on stage and he didn't even get angry cause he threw one back to them! XD They played so many of their hit songs, omg I swear I was going to lose my voice from screaming along and I was still coughing!

I feel so nostalgic listening to the songs which I used to sing to when I was still a teen!

Sabrina, Emily, Sabrina's brother behind there with the tongue haha , Jason, me and  Sabrina's friend.  Emily and I were like "All hail, Jason!" the entire night cause he was so nice to give us the VIP tickets and he even dropped us back.
Sum 41, even if you came out late (Probably cause they had Sambal Petai a day before which means they probably had diarrhea and they visited Batu Caves that morning too.) WE STILL LOVE YOU!!! PLEASE COME BACK TO MALAYSIA!

Big thanks to Jason because if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have made so many new friends and get a really nice view of Sum 41 and experience the VIP side during a concert too!!! :-)
