The Roxy pictures are up!

Click to be redirected to the site!:)
Voting only starts on the 9th of April! Another Facebook 'Like' contest, which I think it's the hardest to win cause you need to be popular enough for people to vote for you. I'm kind of a wallflower so if I do make it to the finals, then I shall be the advocate to all wallflowers!

I want to wish a very,

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO SAMANTHA LEE!!!

Poor thing has to sit for her Tax exams on her birthday. The others and I are going to give you the best 21st birthday celebration ever this Saturday so GOOD LUCK!:)

Joined the Roxy Girl competition

Eating Pocky in class to stay awake!:-)

Hello again! I was asked to join the Roxy Girl contest while I was walking to Esquire Kitchen to get dinner in Sunway Pyramid on Friday. The girl sort of used her 'I want you to join' aura to bring me to the Roxy store. Then they will pick some Roxy clothes for you to wear then they will take pictures of you! They will then pick 3 of your best pictures and upload it to the Roxy Malaysia Facebook Page and you have to ask your friends to 'Like' your picture. The voting session hasn't started yet so there's still time if you want to join this! I heard that 50% is chosen by the heads of Roxy Malaysia and another 50% is based on the 'Like's. So GOOD LUCK! :-)

I got a polaroid picture of my outfit as a souvenir and also a bracelet which happened to be too big for me.
I think I was the last person to do this for that day and one of the girls told me I have the Karen Mok feel. Hahaha! The girl who brought me to the shop was worried that I would be underage cause I look young. She also thought I had mixed parentage. -_-lll

I hope I didn't trouble the girl who took my picture cause I don't know much poses and I was super hungry and tired too. I had a bad experience with Facebook 'Like' kind of contests so I am just going to go with the flow~if I get a lot of 'Like's then it will be AWESOME but if I don't, it's fine...Fate shall decide.

Nature Republic Liquid Eyeliner

So I am on a hunt to find the best eyeliner that are less then RM50 and which comes from those Korean Beauty Stores like Nature Republic, The Face Shop, and many more. I couldn't find much reviews of products from those shops online so I thought maybe I should start one. So I did some testing on my hands and this one passed so I got it. Tried the pencil and it was not concentrated or smooth so it's out.

Goo Hara from Kara.

What made me buy this eyeliner from Nature Republic was because Kara was one of the ambassadors for this brand (Goo Hara was wearing this eyeliner and she looked so glam and I was hoping that it would be good.) and I was running out of liquid eyeliner. They had a 10% discount too and I tested it by rubbing it and by washing my hands so I can conclude that it's does come off easily when you rub it but it is Waterproof after it's dried like it claimed to be. It's RM36 something after the discount.

It's not a felt tip but a brush and it glides on really smoothly.

Notice the difference on my lips? It's because in the before picture, I was not wearing the Revlon Lip Butter. In this picture, I was wearing it and the color is Peach Parfait, the one Emma Roberts was wearing in the advertisement. :-)

Still have not master the art of applying liquid eyeliner, it took me more than 10 minutes and I had to use an eye make-up remover to make the lines neater. It sort of irritated my eyes too when I tried lining the inner corners of my eyes.

Rating:
Price- 4/10, kind of pricey in my opinion.
Packaging- 6/10, I find it very easy to hold the brush with the handle.
Quality- 7/10, It's really pigmented black with no glitter and if I compare it to the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black, this one wins hands down!
Removal- 8/10, If you ran out of eye make-up remover, you could always rub it off or wash it off with warm water.
Staying Power- 8/10, I wore it since 9a.m until 8p.m and it stayed on really well, just that they were a few dropouts throughout the day. Could be from my mascara though?
Will I buy it again- No.

One day, I shall try Hara's look! Line my eyes with loads of eyeliner and add some falsies too. It's going to be a busy semester as usual so hopefully I plan my time more wisely so that my blog won't be neglected. Ok time for bed for me! Night!

So-called modelling part-time job

I call it the so-called modelling part-time job cause we had to walk on stage to promote eco-friendly T-shirts which we can't keep after wearing it. :-( Nevertheless, it was an experience that I will never forget! This happened in January but I'm only blogging about it now cause I finally got the pictures from the Facebook page! Click 'Like' to support it!

A friend was looking for some anyone who wanted to be models for 2 days for an event. I asked if we needed to be experienced or anything but no experience needed so I took it since I had no other commitments and we got paid decently too. On the first day the event was held in the National Science Centre, which thankfully I did not get lost on the way because I haven't been there before. I was really nervous too since I don't know anyone there and I don't even know what I'm going to wear.

It was good cause I met a bunch of people who mostly came from my university and other universities and some are even working or just finished high school. We had to attend the talks too so it was really interesting what this project is trying to make the public understand more about living eco-friendly.

All these pictures are taken from the Facebook page cause it was taken by the photographer hired for this event so all credits go to him. These pictures were taken before we dressed up for the runway hence, I was in flats and all our faces were still clean. Met Datuk Chua Soi Lek too cause he was the one who opened the event. I was thinking that he sounds really familiar and then I found out that he was the politician who had his sex tape revealed all over the internet last time. Shockingly, people still want him as the head of the MCA.

Miki, Syarizah, Sabrina, Joey and Janet. The dudes behind are Kei Ron and Sean.
Random fact: Miki is Janet's younger sister and Joey is their cousin. Syarizah, Sabrina and I go to the same university too but so far I haven't bump into them yet.

Janet, Joey, Coey, Miki and Sabrina and I forgot the name if the lady behind us but she's sort of our boss too.

Top: Coey, Evelyn, Sabrina, Miki, Syarizah, Me and Joey. Bottom: Janet, Gillian, Maple and Nabilah.
Just found out that Nabilah is engaged! Congratulations to her and her fiancee!!!:-)

The brand that we had to promote is... I am so sorry but I have forgotten. The weird thing is, you can't even find it in shops here. A man came to do our make-up and it turns out he wanted something edgy so lots of black eyeshadow and super thick false eyelashes which feels super heavy on my eyes. There was not enough time to finish everyone's make-up so some of us had to do it on our own. The guys are lucky that they don't need to put on any. The fashion show started with a group of dancer dancing on stage then we all one by one come in from different parts of the room. Pretty messy and it was too fast too but it wasn't too bad I guess.

Everyone after the fashion show.
So after the show we had a little break before the next speaker comes who happens to be Dato Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen, the Minister of Tourism Malaysia.

She said  something really ironic during her speech. Something like how her house is really small and she has 100 over species of plants in her garden. I was like, O_O, Say WHAT??? Dude, how can your house be small when you live in Putrajaya and you have a garden that can accommodate 100 over different type of plants? You're a MINISTER too. I think her term of small is a bungalow or something. LOL.

This was just the first day wait till you read about the second one.

Farewell moments 2

A day before the Evanescence concert, they organized a dinner at TGIF Sunway Pyramid so I went for it and it was Sarah's birthday too!:). To add more guilt to myself, they paid for our(Taylor's students) meal again. They are so generous, I think I'm going to cry.

Can't remember what I ordered but it's from the appetizers section.

Tom and Sarah! Tom's coming back on the 12th so I'm pretty excited to see him again and this time he's bringing his partner too!

Birthday girl making her speech using the Chilli sauce bottle.

The things the staff in TGIF do to tease the birthday boys and girls.

My face was like  O_O when I saw it and in my head, WTFBBQOMGSOEXPENSIVE!!! I wanted to contribute at least RM50 but they wouldn't let me.

Aimee!:)

Zech, Lilian, Caitlin, me, Sarah and Li Ng.

Additional people: Tom and Ally!

Ally and who's fingers are those?

Rachel of course! She's so tall and pretty like people's heads would literally turn whenever she walks.

Lucy! After looking at this picture, I think I look a little like her, just give me some blue contacts, some make-up and a little tan.

Lilian! She's such a sweet person and she's a shopaholic, literally.

Jamie! She's the one who went to the massage in the J.W Marriot Hotel with me and the tongs stealer. Hahaha!

Joanna! She's one of the triplets actually which was pretty cool cause I haven't seen triplets before but only she came and not her sisters.

Emma works in the Adelaide Zoo actually but she doesn't get to touch the animals, she just does the paperwork stuff. Still pretty cool!

Rebecca aka Bec. She's so nice and funny!

Tom! Such a nice guy and he has a boyfriend who's from Kuala Lumpur but currently living in Adelaide.

Philip aka Phil. A really cool dad to a very cute baby girl name Indiana! We have the same taste in music and I just found out that he used to play in a band! Cool!!! That's not Rachel's hand btw.

Finally a decent picture with no bunny ears. Philip asked if I needed him to squat so that we'll be the same height but I said I need prove that you're super tall so he didn't.

Jake! Didn't really talk to him much but he seems to be a pretty fun guy and this time in the picture we have 3 pairs of bunny ears. LOL

I didn't get to take pictures with everyone though but there are always group pictures and facebook so fingers crossed that we'll still be in contact.

Just something random, my dad actually went through all my facebook pictures and has finally come to a conclusion that I look best at my left angle so he said, from now on, you must only take pictures with the left side of your face. -_-lll. Thanks for the info,dad....LOL

Evanescence and Farewell moments

On 23rd February was the last day where I got to hang out with some of the Australians before they leave the next day and also it was the same day as Evanescence's concert! So I took the train and walked to Pavillion to meet up with some of them but most of them left early cause they have to get ready for the farewell dinner on the same night which I did not go cause I have to go for Evanescence! I was pretty sad that I can't go for both, if only I can split myself into two and what if Evanescence never came back to Malaysia? Our country already has a bad reputation cause the government just had to bring up some religious crap to prevent people from performing music which has NOTHING TO DO WITH RELIGION and to make things worst, Erykah Badu had to cancel her concert last minute cause of that.

Anyway, back to the topic! So I was expecting to just walk around on my own since Michael, Jamie and Kenny wanted to get a massage at the J.W Marriot Hotel nearby so I thought I just drop them off over there then I'll walk on my own. My plan didn't happened cause they insisted that I join them for the massage too and I told them that I didn't have enough money cause it costs about RM175 for a 50 minutes massage but Michael was like I'm gonna pay for you so you have to come for the massage! Which made me feel more guilty cause they're paying again!>_<

All of us chose to get the Malay massage since we're in Malaysia! Hahaha! Then, they put our phones and wallets into a safety box that will be kept in the counter because the lockers are not super safe. Then Jamie and I was escorted to the ladies side and the guys to the guys side. The staff brought us to the changing rooms with has rows of toilets, showers, lockers and huge mirrors with toiletries, weighing machine and hair dryers. So it was really nice! Inside our lockers there was a bathrobe which was too big for us, a pair of slippers/ tongs, and a bunch of plastic bags.

So Jamie and I were thinking if we should strip everything off or just leave our undies on cause it was our first time going for a body massage. Plus, we were too shy to ask the staff but I did eventually. So keep undies on! After we changed into the bathrobes, we were sent to the lounge to wait while the masseuse gets ready. Even the lounge is so cozy and they have drinks at the side too! I didn't bring my camera with me so I didn't take any pictures. We didn't get a chance to try the jacuzzi though!

Then, we were brought to the massaging room and both of us were in the same room and it was pretty dark and they asked us to lay flat on our front, and the masseuse asked I wanted light or medium pressure. I went for light cause if I went for medium I think I will be bruised all over. I finally got to try those massaging tables where there's like a little doughnut thing to put your face on it where you see in movies!XD. So Jamie and I were talking a little bit until she heard the guys' voices next door. Then, we started laughing and then the guys heard us too. Turns out that the room is only separated using a wooden slide partition thingy.

The massage was really nice but when she started massaging my thighs, I wanted to laugh so badly cause it was so ticklish but I managed to not do it because they will push the pressure up and down. 2 days later after the massage, my body ached.

Once we're done with the massage, they brought us back to the lounge and they gave us Ginger tea.  I hate ginger but the tea was really refreshing after the massage. After tea, we walked back to the changing rooms and Jamie said she really liked the tongs and she wished she could keep them, so I just randomly said, then hide it in your bag or something. She did and she took my pair too! LOL.

The boys paid for our massages apparently cause Kenny is dating Jamie so he paid for her and I guess Michael was being really nice cause it's kind of like the last moments we may see each other again so he paid for mine. Add more guilt to me! They took a taxi back and I was alone walking around Pavillion, Lot 10 and Sungei Wang. I had dinner at Lot 10 in the food court and had the famous beef ball noodles cause my friend is working there and he gave me a discount too cause his boss is not there. It was a really good discount until I thought my eyes have gone cuckoo. He was shocked that I was walking around alone, dude can't a girl walk around alone? Of course it's pretty dangerous too but my go to way of avoiding attention is to not make eye contact with anyone. After dinner, I went to Sungei Wang to get some souvenirs for the Australians.

Then I had some stupid moments with a bunch of douchebags which I will not state here cause they don't deserve it, can't believe I even had the slightest trust on them. So thanks to them, I was rushing to the concert venue cause I was almost late and Emily was waiting for me but I luckily reached KL Live on time. A few minutes later after we got it, they started playing! Amy is so pretty, sweet and her voice is like O_O, MINDBLOWING!!! I didn't get to do much jumping cause I was carrying the souvenirs that I bought and I was tired from the walking and Emily was tired too so we just did a little head banging and screaming and tip toeing. I really suggest the concert organizers to make people line up according to height so that short people like us can actually get a good view.

I need a better camera especially for concerts.

Me and Emily after the concert!:)
I am glad I did not miss this concert cause Evanescence not only sang their new stuff but a lot of their old songs too! Famous ones like 'Bring Me To Life', 'Call Me When You're Sober', 'Lithium'(I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN SHE SANG THIS!I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!),'My Immortal' and a few more! She ended with 'My Immortal' and after the song the drummer threw his cymbals or however you call that yellow disc in a drum set to the audience. Emily and I thought if he ever threw that thing our way, the first thing we would do is RUN cause don't you think that thing can actually hurt someone of you threw it really hard. Anyway, it was a nice day and I really hope Evanescence comes back to Malaysia soon!
